Case of Extracting Rutin for Production Purposes
Rutin is a natural flavonoid compound that is widely present in plants such as buckwheat, citrus fruits, and locust bean flowers. It has antioxidant, vascular protection, and anti-inflammatory effects, and is often used to improve microcirculation and alleviate symptoms of chronic diseases.
This production site is located in Pingyu County, Zhumadian City, Henan Province. Its annual processing capacity of plant raw materials is 600 tons. The product is used in the fields of medicine and functional foods.
Core process flow:
Extraction: Mix the pre-treated raw materials with the solvent in a certain ratio and extract at the set temperature.
Filtering: Use the ultra-efficient pressure filter for solid-liquid separation. The residue can be extracted again. Concentration: Using an efficient concentrator, the sample was concentrated under reduced pressure at 50℃ to 1/4 of its original volume.
Through the above process optimization and equipment selection, the extraction rate of rutin can be increased to over 22%, and the purity can reach over 98%, meeting the requirements for industrial production.
